  11. Sorry if this isn't on point for the group, but I'm trying to fix my
  12. PCMCIA modem.  It's a Practical Peripherals ProClass 14.4 modem, with the
  13. "EZ-Port" or as Megahertz calls it, the "XJack."  The little pop-out RJ-11
  14. phone connector is supposed to click back inside the card when not in use,
  15. but refuses to do so.  I can push it in, but it doens't stick.  The modem
  16. is still under warranty, but Practical Peripherals hasn't answered my
  17. emailed questions.  It wouldn't be such  a big problem, since the modem
  18. still function properly, but it's just a matter of time before the EZ-Port
  19. gets snapped off in transport -- of course I need to remove the card
  20. whenever I transport my notebook, but I know that sooner or later, it''ll
  21. happen.  Besides, it's a pain to have to remove the card all the time.

  23. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas as to how this might be fixable, or
  24. whether it's fixable at all?
